Been keeping an eye on the Bitcoin chart and noticed a triangle pattern forming. Looks like we’re stuck in a limbo right now, could go either way. But the on-chain metrics paint a clearer picture expecting new lows to kick off the year.
Bitcoin's Price Outlook for the Start of 2024

Without any strong catalysts to push things up, I think we’re stuck in a downtrend for a bit. The market's been bearish since breaking under that $100k mark. Not being able to reclaim that level is making everyone brace for a rough ride.
Yeah, Bitcoin's been hovering under $100k for weeks now. It's sort of a norm to expect further drops since it hasn’t shown signs of bouncing back up.

Checked the market while reading this. Surprised Bitcoin hasn’t dropped harder than it has been lately. Sure, there’s endless speculation, but we know how volatile Bitcoin can be. Each major dip tends to lead to some rally eventually.
I see it might just settle into some sideways movement without a major breakout. Not sure about supply issues, though. Could be demand still out there but weighed down by selling pressure. Smart investors know when to grab the dip without panic.

That’s true, but just for the record, nothing’s ever certain in this market. We could get hit with unexpected news that turns things around. January might be a good time to start buying again, although if the trend keeps dipping, it could be a rough bear market ahead.
If the cycle's indeed complete, I doubt we’ll see bullish behavior like before. Hard to believe we’d break above $100k again soon. However, I don’t see a complete collapse past $50k either, especially with institutional investments coming in.

Not buying the 80% drop theory. Right now it seems we'll see some price recovery soon, maybe test below $80k again but nothing under that. I just can't see Bitcoin falling below 30k, that’s a bit extreme for this market.
You think bears will take over soon? Seems like they already have. Buyers can’t seem to control the market. I don’t expect a big drop like before whenever the new year hits; things feel less volatile overall.
It’s not just speculation anymore; this bearish scenario is becoming more real. If we hit 2026 in this state, that’s not too shocking considering market cycles.
Bitcoin hasn’t taken a big hit recently, but there’s no sign of a rebound either. The mood in the crypto market overall feels pretty negative lately.
You’re right. We can’t assume sharp corrections will always lead to recovery. Optimism’s good, but we need to be realistic. This bear market could really stick around until 2026.

Without a strong push, I think we’ll keep seeing the downward trend. This could just be the beginning of a prolonged period. It’s all about accumulating now while prices are lower; it’s a chance we shouldn’t miss.
Bitcoin is sitting around $88.6k now, down from that peak of $120k. Experts say we aren't done yet; new lows are likely before the year's out.
Past cycles show major drops. I doubt we see 80% losses now; Bitcoin seems too stable for that. But trying to say it'll stay above $80k is a stretch too, the risks are just too high.
I still believe we can hit the $80k-$90k range next year. Institutions may just be playing the long game, making retail investors nervous while they shift elsewhere.

Look, even a basic holder knows demand isn't matching supply right now. Christmas is a selling time too, so the market’s not looking up for a while. I think we’re already in a bear market, honestly.
Honestly, I still think we can pop back up to $100k. But that might turn out to be a temporary bump, not a signal for recovery. I’d rather be prepared than hold onto false hope.

But if we wanted a real bounce, that $100k is the target. Sentiment has definitely changed; if there was investment interest, we’d see recovery already.
Nice analysis, aligns well with my view. Looking at the monthly chart, it shows Bitcoin’s been on the decline this year. Not ever expecting a miracle in these last days of the year.
