Looks like Bitcoin is still riding that 4-year cycle, with a high of $126k last October. But was that what we expected or just a letdown? From the 2017 peak to 2021 peak, Bitcoin shot up 250%, but only managed an 80% increase from 2021 to 2025. Does this mean we're in for lower returns every cycle? Was Bitcoin held back this time? And if we think Q4 2029 will be the next high, what are we shooting for? $200k? $300k?

Depends on adoption, honestly. If institutions keep buying in, aiming for $300k to $500k isn’t wild. But if interest drops, we’re stuck at lower prices.

Totally agree, $300k could happen. But $500k feels like a stretch. That’d be a 300% jump from last year's peak, which is huge considering the last cycle only saw an 80% gain.

Actually, the peak in 2021 was $69k, and the $126k in 2025 means we’re looking at around a 90% increase. It’s lower compared to previous runs, but the context matters. In 2025, we saw bearish vibes right from Q4. That’s not what’s usually happened before.

Looking at past cycles gives us some clues for the future. We should gear up for the 2028 halving bull run. If we invest now and hold on through the downturns, by 2030, we might reach $300k easily.

Adoption and market cap play huge roles. More adoption means a larger market cap, which usually means less volatility. This could help Bitcoin become a reliable hedge against inflation instead of just a speculative asset.

Yeah as the price rises, it needs way more cash to see real jumps. I wouldn’t expect the same returns in future cycles. If more institutions hop on board, maybe we’ll see better gains.

Honestly, predicting Bitcoin’s price is tough. Long-term, prices should rise, but by how much? Just a few years back, who would’ve thought Bitcoin would explode like this? Sure, the economy looks rough now, and folks might shy away from volatile assets.

You've gotta factor in market cap too. The bigger it gets, the harder it is for prices to see those insane percentage jumps we had in earlier cycles. So I don’t see $126k as a letdown. It fits Bitcoin's trend of maturing. Diminishing returns are just part of the game.

Since the 2017 run, every halving has kinda underwhelmed. Altcoins are stealing the spotlight too, frustrating new investors. We really need better education about Bitcoin!

No one really expected $126k, many thought we’d hit around $150k. So going over $100k is a win for most. The data shows each cycle is lowering the multiplier for gains. I’d love to see $300k though.

Time will tell, but I think a dip to below $40k isn’t out of the question. If that happens, we could see $400k eventually. But let’s not stress, just keep stacking!

Next ATH might not see the insane growth we once had. If we check historical price ratios, growth shrinks with each high. So the 80% gain in 2025? We might see even less next time.

Yeah probably unless we get hit by some crazy event or hyperinflation. Liquidity matters! It was easier to get 10x in 2017. Now it takes a lot more cash, that’s why we see some coins soaring while Bitcoin struggles.

Honestly can’t say for sure if we’ll hit $200k again. But I think we might touch that or maybe $170k based on momentum. Predictions are tricky; they can end up being way off.

$500k by 2030 sounds crazy with how Bitcoin’s moving now. Still, it’s all about the current price as we edge closer to 2030. Even if $500k feels wild, Bitcoin surprises us all the time. I’m banking on around $300k.

Since we capped at $126k, it’s clear Bitcoin is still in its normal cycle, just with a lot of changes. Breaking ATH before the halving and not doubling like usual means we’re seeing shifts in the market.

Let’s chill and appreciate that Bitcoin passed several ATHs in 2025 while other coins lagged. We’ll see more cycles, and Bitcoin’s growth is usually slow and steady. Comparing now with 2017 isn’t fair; we’ve got way more adoption now.

Not disappointing at all! No one really had a solid prediction for the ATH, even if many thought $150k. Every gain cycle won’t be the same, as long as we stay above the last ATH, that’s what matters.

Looking ahead, Bitcoin's price really depends on how widely it’s adopted. More users mean we could see prices break through expectations since the total supply is getting close to being fully mined. Honestly, seeing Bitcoin at $126k feels like a solid base; I was honestly thinking it might hit $150k.
