I’m not in Bitcoin right now, but I plan to sell my altcoins later this year for some profit. Then, I’ll buy Bitcoin when it hopefully dips after hitting some highs. Thinking 2029/2030 could be the next peak, right? What’s everyone’s price guess for then? I’m thinking at least $400k, and if I can get enough, I’ll pay off part of my mortgage.

Sounds like a solid plan but many think Bitcoin might drop next year. Not sure if that’s true or not, but buying during a bear market usually works out better in the long haul. Right now, with prices high, I’d advise waiting to invest.

Good call, it's never too late to pivot. I find it puzzling that you were in altcoins without Bitcoin. If you had gone for Bitcoin earlier, you’d likely be better off now.

For sure, another halving is coming up and it traditionally pumps prices to new highs. Just keep in mind, the timing can vary. Look at the halving coming in 2024 for reference.

I used to think Bitcoin was overpriced too. As a newbie, seeing it at thousands made me think returns were limited. But now I see Bitcoin tends to pump first, so I’m focusing on it more for the next cycle.

What if it doesn’t crash like in the past? With Bitcoin getting more attention from ETF approvals, the bear market might not be as bad. If someone plans to sell in 4-5 years, starting to invest now even at higher prices could make sense.

Yeah, I had that same mindset about Bitcoin being too expensive. Luckily, someone schooled me on how divisible it is. It’s all about knowledge, right? But be careful with those altcoins; they’re super volatile compared to Bitcoin.

I’m not expecting Bitcoin to drop to $20k or $30k again. I think the lowest it might go is $50k if the cycle repeats. If it hits $150k this year, maybe it’ll just drop to $60k or $70k next.

For us holding altcoins, Bitcoin dominance needs to drop. There have been signs of that lately, but nothing’s guaranteed. My altcoins skyrocketed last year with all the Trump hype, and I’m waiting for a repeat to cash out.

Good luck with your investments! Remember, you don’t need to flood the forum with replies; just one solid post is enough.

The reality is we have no idea when the bull market will end or the bear will begin. Waiting for that bear season could be risky. You could start accumulating BTC now, maybe via DCA, to avoid missing out.

I think we could see prices doubling from where we are now in the next cycle. If Bitcoin hits $150k this year, I’d guess it could reach $300k-$450k in 2029/30. A lot of hype around that million-dollar prediction too, but who knows.

honestly, it’s all about belief in the market. Your choice shows understanding that crypto prices are driven by buyers and sellers. Bitcoin is being recognized more as a legitimate asset, and that changes everything.

Lol, but remember in 2021 when it hit $69k? I didn’t think we’d get back to those highs either. But if you’re mentally tough, it’s not too late to invest in Bitcoin.

Selling altcoins for Bitcoin makes sense. Altcoins can drop fast in value. Timing is key; otherwise, profits could vanish quickly. The upcoming halving adds an interesting twist.

Some of my altcoins exploded last year during the Trump news. I’m hoping for another mini season where they pump, then I’ll sell and move to Bitcoin before the dominance shifts.

If we look at past cycles, it typically mirrors about a year after the halving. Shooting for $400k is optimistic, but with the right conditions, it’s not impossible. I’m more in the $200k-$300k range myself.

I see multiple paths here. OP's outlook seems realistic. Personally, I’m feeling bullish and believe we could be looking at a million per Bitcoin at some point down the line.

Only $200k by 2029? It could reach that this year. If that’s possible now, imagine what’s next. I’ll be shocked if it’s not at least $300k in the next bull run.

It’s tough to predict far into the future. Will we see bull runs in 5 years or a drop next year? Hard to say. I don’t think we’ll see Bitcoin crash to those low levels again, though.
