Interesting thing about Bitcoin is its price history. Like, in 2010 it was about 0.05 USD, then 5 USD in 2012 and jumped to 500 USD in 2014. The pattern seems crazy 100x increase each time. If it kept going, we’d see it hitting trillions by 2024. Wild, right?

Patterns are kinda subjective, don't you think? They’re more like our own way of making sense of things rather than solid facts. That supposed pattern? Yeah, it didn’t hold up. There's just not enough cash in the world to keep that pace.
You're missing the market cap angle here. When Bitcoin was 5 cents, it had a tiny market cap. Now at $100k, we’re looking at a 2 trillion market cap. Goin' from 2T to 20T? Not really feasible. This is why I think it’s too late for big gains.

Totally agree about market cap. People are just dreaming if they think Bitcoin can keep rising without considering actual money in circulation. The world economy can’t just keep pumping cash into this thing.
Beginners and even some seasoned investors often just look at the price trends. They think Bitcoin will keep growing exponentially no matter what. Have they checked the market cap? Their predictions are way off.
The volatility is still here, but there’s a difference now. The price movements from 2010 to 2014 were huge, but now? Not as much bullish momentum. We hit $1,163 in 2013, then $20,000 in 2017. It’s not the same anymore.

Wealth is finite, that’s the bottom line. Unlimited wealth would just mean money loses its value. Bitcoin is becoming a top asset, and that limits its growth potential. Most people have jumped on the Bitcoin train already.
Going from $500 to $50,000 took a decade. You think it’ll take another 200 years to get to $5 million? Seems unrealistic to me.
Exactly, the price rise is leveling out. It’s like an S curve now. Adoption grows, but it also slows the spike. Plus the global recession really messed with the pattern.
Yeah, specific prices only lasted for short periods. When Bitcoin was at 0.05 USD, $1 and even $100, these were all transitional prices. Since 2017, every price level has just repeated itself.
If Bitcoin jumped 100x from here, we're looking at $11 million, not $1.1 million. That kind of growth in 50 years? Just can't see it. Getting rich quick with Bitcoin is probably a thing of the past.
17,000 USD is a special price, though. It’s hit that mark three separate times now: end of 2017, end of 2020, and end of 2022. It's like a crazy resistance level.
Yeah, but let’s not forget how Bitcoin’s grown from 2010 to now. Back then, people didn’t care much. Now there's way more interest. People are starting to realize its value, so maybe there’s still a chance it’ll grow further.
+1 to that. People just don’t see it yet.
I’m not sold on all this optimism. Too many factors now compared to way back.

How can you say it’s too late? There’s always room for growth!
That’s what they said in 2017 too. The market is so different now, I don’t think history repeats like that.

But there’s a lot of potential still. Just not in the way people expect.

Yeah, I guess we’ll have to see how it plays out.
