When Silk Road kicked off in early February, BTC hit $1. Just after that, the news went wild about Bitcoin "surging" and it skyrocketed from $6.2 to $31, which is pretty much its all-time high. Remember, the first big jump for BTC was a year earlier, from $0.008 to $0.08. Just crazy how it can go up tenfold like that. Recently, BTC was dropping, but then it shot up again, just not by much. CNN even dropped a video right around then.

So, what you’re saying is, the more people learn about Bitcoin, the higher the price climbs? That’s an interesting take. But seriously, if a few thousand more folks start buying BTC, what’s really pushing that price up? Seems like maybe market regulators are trying to make it harder to get coins or something.

Correlation, in simple terms, is how two things relate to each other. Like, if one goes up, does the other follow? But just because they move together doesn’t mean one causes the other. And yeah, there are ways to measure correlation using a coefficient, but that gets a bit technical.

Dude, you had me confused for a second. I was like, what prices are you talking about? Then I saw the date and realized this thread is ancient, like 14 years old or something. Some mod really needs to shut these old threads down.
