So why are we only thinking about Bitcoin as a currency? Seems kinda limited to me.

Could be that it was the only option to fight fiat inflation and give people control over their funds without third-party interference. That's something USDT can't do. Plus, it became a form of money that only crypto could facilitate for peer-to-peer transactions.

What are you even trying to say? Is your question about blockchain tech or what? It’s used for tons of stuff that needs unchangeable records, not just currency.

But isn’t money what makes everything run? Think about no banks in the way, making payments directly, no fees. Bitcoin has portability and storage for wealth. Good luck doing that with fiat or gold.

What do you think, GhostRider2487? If you were Satoshi back in '08/'09, how would you see Bitcoin evolving?

Honestly, Bitcoin wasn’t just a currency from the start. It tackled the issue of trustless value transfer first. That’s the key. Once you got immutable records and decentralized consensus, the applications go way beyond just payments. The big deal was cutting out the middlemen.

Not quite right on the timeline there. Anyway, think about proof of uniqueness, certifying data, tying into IoT, and even using quantum tech. The info stored in transaction codes is pretty much endless. We’re looking at a potential expansion way beyond what we see now.

Plus, think about synchral performance across different systems. You can apply it to everything from alternative energy to smart homes, even in entertainment. It’s all interconnected.

Nah, it’s not just currency and it won’t be. Bitcoin opened up loads of opportunities for tech to evolve and adapt. Its structure is being studied and will be applied globally across various industries.

Sure, that thought isn’t fully formed, but Bitcoin doesn’t have to be just about currency. It’s not limited like that. It's also a value store, and it sparked the whole blockchain movement across multiple sectors, leading to creative projects like DeFi.

It’s definitely not confined to just being currency. There have been other attempts to use Bitcoin’s tech for different purposes, but Bitcoin has really stuck. People need a decentralized currency even if they don’t realize it yet.

The irony of this convo is wild. It’s like we’re going in circles instead of moving forward... let’s focus.
