So check this out, Atho is a new Layer 1 blockchain focused on payments. For those who don’t know, it’s using Proof of Work but designed to be post-quantum aware. The ticker is ATHO and they’re going with SHA3-384 for hashing.
They’ve got Falcon-512 signatures for transactions, which sounds fancy. The block time is targeted at just 100 seconds, and they’re using a public UTXO model. The smallest unit is called an atom, so one ATHO equals 100 million atoms, which is pretty wild.
They start with a subsidy of 20 ATHO and have a halving every 1.25 million blocks. No hard cap on supply yet, which is interesting.
Anyone else think this could be a big deal?
